Melbourne wraps around Port Phillip Bay in Australia’s southeast. Built on gold-rush money in the 1850s, it kept the Victorian arcades and iron-laced terraces, then filled the gaps between them with graffiti-covered laneways, hole-in-the-wall espresso bars, and one of the largest tram networks in the world.
